Minister for Housing Jogi Ramesh has said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken up land resurvey bravely after 100 years to ensure that landowners have the right document for the property.
On Wednesday, the minister handed over the ‘Bhoo Hakku Pattalu’ (land records) to the people of Nelakondapalli and Kummarigunta of Pedana Mandal in Krishna District.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the land survey was conducted during British rule, and since then no land survey had been conducted in the State. Due to this, farmers have been facing so many problems, he said. However, the Chief Minister introduced Jaganna Swastha Bhoohakku -Bhoo Raksha schemes to help the farmers by putting an end to land disputes among the farmers in the State.
He further claimed that through this scheme, farmers can have all the rights over their property and there will be no land disputes in future. During the programme, the minister distributed 186 land pattas to the villagers.
