A special Menstrual Health Awareness event was held in collaboration with the WICCI Holistic Child Development Council. ‘Glow Flow’ organised by Marham – Resonating Resilience, aimed to break the silence around periods and menstrual health. The event, led by youth for youth, took place at St Francis College for Women, Begumpet on Friday.
Congress spokesman Khaleelur Rahman, Sofia Haseeb, Kiran Dembla and RJ Shadab attended. Shadab turned period stigma into comedy, while Kiran Dembla, an internationally known DJ and fitness coach, shared her inspiring journey.
Bloody Funny, a comedy act by Shadab, along with dance, music and theatre performances were held. A digital slogan contest and Kiran Dembla’s inspiring journey were highlighted. Anupama Dalmia emphasised that menstrual awareness should be normalised in daily life.
Meanwhile, Dr Nabat Lakhani stressed the need to break outdated taboos. Aanchal Bansal reinforced that menstruation is not a weakness. Glow Flow encouraged open, stigma-free conversations about periods, just like any other normal topic.
Attendees included students, activists, influencers and changemakers. Social media personalities like Hana Rahman and Abhishek Kirak helped make period discussions engaging.
