Till the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are over, there will be no more Delhi visits by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It may be recalled that the BJP has decided to join the TDP-Jana Sena alliance in Andhra Pradesh and the TDP has joined the BJP-led NDA.
With this effect, CM Jagan will not got to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Union Home Minister Amit Shah, sources in YSRCP said. Im the last four-and-a-half years, CM Jagan met the Prime Minister and the union home Minister several times. No Chief Minister in the country met Prime Minister Narendra Modi more number of times like AP CM Jagan. Even BJP Chief Ministers also did not meet the Prime Minister more frequently like Jagan. The Prime Minister was also very liberal in giving appointment to Jagan whenever he asked. Jagan always maintained good relations with the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister.
Jagan never met the other BJP leaders during his Delhi visits. The relations with Jagan by the BJP is different from that of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister duo. Both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister used to show special interest towards Jagan. But now in the changed political scenario in Andhra Pradesh Jagan cannot meet the Prime Minister like in the past, because the main political rival of YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh, the TDP has joined the NDA. The BJP and the TDP have now become friendly parties. Under the circumstances,  if Jagan meets the Prime Minister or the Union Home Minister it may give  wrong signals, the YSRCP leaders opined.
After winning in the Assembly elections and a majority of the Lok Sabha seats, Jagan will meet the Prime Minister as a political hero. The YSRCP leaders are very much confident over retaining power in the coming Assembly elections. They are telling that in 2014 Assembly elections also, the TDP, Jana Sena and the BJP had an alliance and YSRCP fought alone. By that time, people did not know how Jagan would rule the State and also YSRCP had no special vote bank. However, in those elections YSRCP won 67 Assembly seats. Now the people have experienced Jahan rule and they will compare the governments of Jagan and that of Chandrababu and definitely people will vote for YSRCP.  In the last four-and-a-half  years Jagan government has implemented several welfare schemes and this helped the YSRCP to have a special vote bank, the party leaders said.
